Sabrina (1954) – Audrey Hepburn

Sabrina (1954) is a Cinderella story with a modern twist, as Audrey Hepburn played Sabrina Fairchild, the chauffeur’s daughter who returns from Paris transformed.

Directed by Billy Wilder, the film follows Sabrina as she catches the eye of both Larrabee brothers, played by Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. Hepburn played Sabrina’s change from a shy girl to a confident young woman with charm and humour, and her Givenchy costumes became part of film fashion history.

The role confirmed Hepburn’s star status after Roman Holiday. Sabrina is light, romantic and beautifully played, and it remains one of her most beloved films.
