How to Steal a Million (1966) is a light and elegant caper, as Audrey Hepburn played Nicole Bonnet, whose grandfather collects forged art.
When a fake Cellini Venus is lent to a museum, Nicole must steal it back before it is examined. Opposite Peter O’Toole as a charming burglar, Hepburn played Nicole with wit and style, and the Paris setting suited her perfectly.
Directed by William Wyler, the film is a delightful late Hepburn comedy. Nicole is clever, resourceful and funny, and Hepburn made the heist feel like a game played by the most elegant people in Paris.
