Charade (1963) – Audrey Hepburn

Charade (1963) is a stylish thriller that paired Audrey Hepburn with Cary Grant, as Regina Lampert, a widow pursued in Paris over a fortune she does not have.

Directed by Stanley Donen, the film mixes suspense, romance and humour as Regina tries to discover who can be trusted. Hepburn played Regina with wit and elegance, and her chemistry with Grant gave the twists their charm.

Often described as the best Hitchcock film Hitchcock never made, Charade remains a favourite for its Paris locations, its score by Henry Mancini and Hepburn’s sparkling central performance.
