“Let’s Groove” (1981), from Raise!, is a direct invitation to dance, with a funk and disco rhythm that carries the listener straight onto the floor. The title is the message: do not sit, do not wait, groove. The band delivers it with their usual precision — brass, harmony and a beat that never wavers — and the song became a staple of early-1980s radio and dance floors.

The song also shows Earth, Wind & Fire adapting to a new decade without losing their identity. The sound is a little cleaner, a little more electronic, but the feeling is the same: music as celebration, rhythm as community, and a band inviting everyone in. It is a fitting closing chapter for the band’s 1970s-to-1980s story told here.
