To Catch a Thief (1955) pairs Kelly with Cary Grant as John Robie, a former cat burglar suspected of a new series of thefts. Kelly plays Frances’s wit and daring with great charm, and the Riviera locations give the film its effortless glamour.
It remains one of Kelly’s most delightful roles, and a perfect Hitchcock entertainment.
